Ancient Bitcoin Whale moves $570,000,000 in BTC after more than seven years
It seems a slumbering giant has come to life. A Bitcoin Whale moved its 10,000 BTC for the first time in over 7 years.
More than half a billion dollars worth of Bitcoin (BTC) has suddenly started moving after lying motionless for over seven years. In total, we are talking about 10,000 BTC. At the current Bitcoin Machine exchange rate, this corresponds to an equivalent value of approximately 570 million US dollars.

Bitcoin Whale earns 17,000% return through 7 years of hodln
According to blockchain data tracking bot BTCparsers, the BTC in question were placed in two separate wallets, each containing 5,000 BTC, on 11 August 2013. The first of the two wallets transferred 5,000 BTC to a wallet of unknown origin. The second wallet moved the second batch of 5,000 BTC to another wallet, also of unknown origin. Both original wallets have moved almost the same amount of coins to exactly the same dates in the past, strongly suggesting that the 10,000 BTC belong to the same owner. However, the new wallets now holding the BTC do not appear to have any known connections to crypto organisations or exchanges where they could be sold or traded on the open market.
In any case, this ancient Bitcoin Whale is the subject of a real success story and an emblem of why hodln and strong hands pay off. Because when the original wallets were created, the Bitcoin price was hovering around $330. His strong nerves and the will to not sell his BTC during any bull run have given the owner a hefty return of 17,000% in over seven years. Kudos.
